About the Artist
Artist and creative practitioner living in the Warwickshire Countryside ... using natural materials and also litter/interesting found items to create hand printed contemporary art.
My artistic method is to print directly with materials. Until recently I have predominantly used natural materials such as leaves, seed pods, cones, roots, twigs, fruit and vegetables. This has now developed to using pieces of litter and found items.
Every item that I use to print with have beautiful and unique shapes and patterns of their own which I print onto the page with. I then add hand drawn details, shading and colour to enhance and illuminate these individual properties.
My work is is often meditative and repetitive. The natural colours and tones
that I use in my nature art reflect the sense of calm and intrigue that I gain from nature and wish to share with others...the vibrant bright colours in my litter art is a strong contrast in the same way that seeing litter in natural environments is.
